Decor La Vie News Letter #1

Hi everyone,

This may have come to you as a surprise as it is the first time I am writing a news letter for Decor La Vie. This is because things have been happening quite fast at Decor La Vie and with the growing number of enquiries, I guess we should get everyone informed our latest development.

First of all, we have included something new on our blog. Everyday (with some breaks in between) we will be introducing a lifestyle design product from somewhere in the world. Thanks for tall the comments and please comment on our up coming entries too.

Secondly, we have launched two new products: Jelly Belly earphones from MoreBest(http://decorlavie.blogspot.com/2010/03/new-product-jelly-belly-earphones.html) and Mini Designer Chair from Reacjapan (http://decorlavie.blogspot.com/2010/03/mini-designer-chairs-volume-1-by.html). Both products are the latest products from Tokyo, Japan. And Decor La Vie is the authorized dealer for both products. They can be purchased from our blog at the moment. Thanks to those who have placed your order so far. Also, our new stock for IQ light has also arrived yesterday and those have order will be receiving them very soon, sorry for the slight delay.

Thirdly, some of you may have realized our website is no longer working. Don't worry, we are just upgrading our website, with a new look to serve you better. Stay tuned and please sign up as a member for discounts and latest updates from us.

There are also many other things going on in Decor la Vie but I guess I should stop for now. It is White Day on 14th March in Japan. It is a day when guys are suppose to give presents to the girls, because on Valentines' Day in Japan, usually only girls give presents to the guys, the guys will return the favor a month later.

Lucky Star Arrived in France

Francoise from Avignon, France, has purchased one of our Lucky Stars online and we posted to them all the way from Singapore by airmail. Here are the photos from her.

Looks like our two pin plug works well in France too.

Mlle-C à Paris...Les étoiles

I have met MAD'MOISELLE CHARLINE at MAAD. She is a french illustrice living in Singapore. She draws and designs pretty stuffs and I asked why not put her illustrations on my stars?!

These are the two design from Mlle-C, Mlle-C à Paris.

After some printing, cutting, drilling holes and putting everything together over a period of 2 days, here are the end products.




We call it Les Etoiles, Mlle-C à Paris (The Stars, Miss-C at Paris)

We are Decor La Vie! Introducing the Lucky Stars.

The Lucky Star Lantern series are designed by a young graphic designer graduated from a design school in New Zealand. Growing up in the South East region of Aisa, his designs are strongly influenced by the multi cultural environment. You will notice that his designs for the Lucky Stars go around the themes of the Chinese, the Indians and the Malays, giving a special touch to each of them.


Light can transform the Lucky Stars into the most amazing spectacle. The stars come in 4 major colours: blue, green, red and yellow. They are usually decorated with papers of one or two different colours. When the bulb withing the star is turned on, light casts through the coloured papers and the star turns into a glittering rainbow of colours. It is definitely a sight to behold.

The Lucky Stars can be folded flat to approximately A4 measurements. It can then be effortlessly slipped into a specially designed package that is printed with detailed instructions for the set up of your Lucky Star. Such features translate into a nice gift - it can be easily transported and stored. However, it would be a pity to store such pretty things in the dark recesses of your storeroom. It could be put to much better use brightening your living space and your life.
